This week we were delighted to get our first views of the wild Beaver kits on the River Otter in East Devon. Along with a small group of other people we had wonderful views of the female Beaver (easily identified by the pink tag in her ear) who was first to show herself. She swam upstream and downstream and spent some time grooming herself on the opposite bank.
After about 20 minutes two of her kits appeared to the great delight of everyone gathered on the river bank. By the time the kits were on show the light was fading fast but we did manage to get some 'record' shots.
